2015-12-11: Emergency Maintenance

Last updated: Mon Feb 04 23:07:48 GMT 2019

Related to our ongoing service degradation incident (documented here), we are entering emergency maintenance beginning on 2015-12-11 at 04:20 UTC.  During this maintenance window, we will be performing hardware maintenance on a database server which is impacting writes of agent data. This maintenance period will only affect a subset of tests running on the ThousandEyes platform, however it will prevent agents from checking in during the outage period.  After the emergency maintenance period is complete, we expect the agent checkins to continue on a normal rate.

An update will be posted as soon as the maintenance period is complete.  This maintenance period is expected to last up to 2 hours and 30 minutes.

During this maintenance period, customers will be unable to open test results for tests which are stored on the database server being updated, and API queries targeting a test on an affected database system will return a 500 error while the database is offline.

While the database maintenance is ongoing, the reporting capabilities of ThousandEyes will be disabled. Report snapshots scheduled to run during the maintenance will be sent once the maintenance period is complete and the reporting service is restarted.

If you have any questions, please contact our Customer Success team by emailing support@thousandeyes.com.  We will update both this article and the article related to service degradation when we have updates.

Thank you for your continued understanding while we work to restore service.
