(Resolved) 2019-12-11 19:27 UTC Platform release affected SSO / SAML logins for some organizations

Last updated: Thu Dec 12 06:45:01 GMT 2019

During our December 11th release, beginning at 2019-12-11 19:27 UTC and ending at 2019-12-11 22:05 UTC, a change in SSO / SAML audience restriction validation was made. Organizations affected by this change experienced failed logins for all users.

Affected scope

Organizations with an IDP Audience Restriction field not exactly matching the ThousandEyes Service Provider field were affected.

For example:

An IDP Audience Restriction configuration of: https://app.thousandeyes.com/
would not work if the ThousandEyes Platform Service Provider field was configured as: https://app.thousandeyes.com

Upon confirmation of the issue the ThousandEyes engineering team configured validation to be less restrictive, thus resolving the issue.

Status

The ThousandEyes Engineering team has resolved this issue.
